Still FALL-ing “Around The Bend”

Hello Stampin’ Friends!

Another quick project today that was the result of a rainy play-day in my craft room.  I once again reached out for my Around The Bend bundle as I contemplated how I wanted to incorporate my recently acquired Tartan Plaid DSP, which is available NOW in the Online-Exclusive section of my Stampin’ Up store.  Again, I would urge you to click on the “Shop Stampin’ Up” button up top, or simply click here to be taken to my store.

Navigation is easy, even without GPS!

Again, navigating to the Online-Only section of my store is simple.  Just click above to get to my store, then on Menu in the upper left corner of the screen, and then there will be some teal-colored circles, one of which says “Online Exclusives”.  Click on that to see what is available.  Again, these products are not in any catalogs.  There are many items in there, and MORE are being added TODAY, November 7!  Get there early, as some will likely sell-out quick!

LET’S GET INKY!

Just a couple things to note in particular about this card.

    • I used a Very Vanilla Card Base (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″), and also cut a Very Vanilla mat at 4″ x 5 1/4″.
    • Use Lost Lagoon ink and a blending brush to apply ink to the entire panel.

Add Copper Clay ink in the same fashion (using a different blending brush, of course!)

As a side note, be sure to start your blending OFF of the cardstock to avoid the dark “splotches”.  You can see where I failed to do that on my panel.  This was not a concern to me, however, as it was to be layered under my Tartan Foil die-cut panel.

  • Next I used that inked panel to cut some random small leaves to scatter on my card front.  As this panel was going to be under the main panel, I simply chose a spot in the middle of the panel, where I knew it would be covered, and cut my leaves.

  • I used the curved-leaves die from the Around the Bend dies to cut my Tartan Plaid DSP, and put the card all together, merely scattering the smaller die-cut leaves across the front panel, as though they were wind-blown.
  • My tag was cut using the Something Fancy dies.  The sentiment was stamped in Copper Clay ink and topped with a copper trim bow.
  • The inside sentiment from Something Fancy was also stamped in Copper Clay, and a little Tartan Foil DSP was added to the inside to dress it up!

And there you have it!  An easy-peasy card to put together on a rainy Fall day!

I love the shimmer of the foiled Tartan Plaid DSP – these pictures simply don’t do it justice!  Order some and see for yourself!

I hope you get inky today!
