In With The New – Let The Preview Begin!

Hello Friends!

It’s time to start the tease of new products from the new catalog!  There’s so much to love between the front and back covers!  One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that we get to pre-order some of the products to start playing with them before customers are able to!  I got my big box of new toys the day we left for Nevada to see Adam.  I opened the box, sorted through a few items, but then had to leave it all behind!  Thankfully, it was all still waiting for me when we got home and is now properly organized and ready for use!

But oh…. where to begin!?!

I closed my eyes and grabbed… Forever Greenery was the lucky winner!

So today I have two cards that I made using the products from that suite.  I love the rich hues of green and the gold laser-cut foil, it makes for some very elegant looking projects!  Check out this suite of products, they’re gorgeous!  I’ll admit that on first glance, I wasn’t all that impressed.  But upon further review, I decided it was a must have, and I’m so glad I did!

Card #1

Colors and Measurements:

Card base:  Pretty Peacock cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″; score and fold at 4 1/4″.

Front mat:  Forever Greenery DSP cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″.

Circles:  All cut with Layering Circles Dies.  The largest was cut from Pretty Peacock CS and embossed with one of the Greenery embossing folders (there’s two in the package).  The medium and small circle are cut from the Forever Greenery DSP.  Arrange these on top of the DSP panel and adhere.

The vanilla-colored ribbon (part of the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack) was then placed down the middle of the panel and adhered on the backside.

The gold foil leaves are part of the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.  Arrange these over the circles and ribbon and adhere.

The sentiment tag was cut using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and stamped with “Hello” sentiment in Memento black in; the leaves in Shaded Spruce – both from Forever Fern.

And finally, the bow was added using the gold trim also from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

Card #2

Colors and Measurements:

Garden Green card base cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″; score and fold at 4 1/4″.

The matting is front and back side of a single piece of the Forever Greenery DSP, both cut at 5 1/4″ x 2″, spaced evenly across the front and adhered.

The gold foil fern leaf is part of the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper, and adhered at an angle.

I used the Braided Border Punch (retiring June 2) to create the black braided strip down the center.

The sentiment label was cut using the Label Me Lovely Punch, and stamped with sentiment from Forever Fern in Garden Green ink.

The edges of the label were then also sponged with Garden Green Ink and the label popped up with dimensionals.

“Thanks” was cut using the die from Well Written Dies.

Quick and easy was the name of this game, but the rich hues and bright gold bling bring a certain elegance to the look of these cards.  I’m sure I’ll be using these products a lot in the future, as they’re quite versatile and perfect for male or female!

Again, a reminder that the Braided Border Punch will be retiring and gone for good on June 2!  It’s a good one for finishing off edges, or weaving ribbon through!  Grab it before it’s gone!
