Hello Stampin’ Friends!
Today’s post is all about a good ol’ color challenge!
Pick 3 and GO!
My granddaughter, who’s 10, loves to come over and challenge me to a “3-color challenge”. Of course, she’s a girl after my own heart and LOVES Grammy’s craft room and all the colors to choose from.
Apparently, she learned about color challenges early in her school years. One of her favorite activities at our house is to stand in front of my Stampin’ Up ink pads/markers and say, “Close your eyes, Grammy, and pick three colors.” Of course, I oblige and pick my 3 colors. Then, she closes her eyes and picks hers. The next step is to draw a picture using only those 3 randomly picked colors. Papa Dean gets to choose the winner of the challenge. I’d hate to be in his shoes…picking between two of the gals he loves most! He deliberates a fair amount of time, pointing out the good things about each drawing, and finally chooses a winner. Then it’s back to the craft room to pick three more colors to do it all over again!
Today’s Challenge…
While I didn’t close my eyes and pick which three colors I was going to use, I logged into the Color Throwdown Challenge and let them pick for me. I also paired it with the Stampin’ Up Only challenge, whose only stipulation was the use of circles (and Stampin’ Up only products).
And wa-la! This card was born! Thank you to the above challenges and the matchability of Stampin’ Up to make card-making soooo EASY!
Have I mentioned lately that Stampin’ Ups color coordination between products is one of the things I love most about the company! From cardstock to designer series papers (DSP), to ink pads, to markers, to ribbon…the list goes on! I know that the colors are all going to match, there’s no more picking my paper and then hoping I have cardstock, ink, marker colors, or embellishments that will match up!
That’s one of the major things that drew me to the company so many years ago now; the ease of use between products. Crafting has never been so easy! Thank you, Stampin’ Up!
LET’S GET INKY!
Products I used are listed below with direct links to my online store, or you can click here to be taken the “front porch” of my store within Stampin’ Up. I appreciate your orders very much, but most importantly, I hope that I’ve inspired you to get a little inky today!

Lovely card Janet, and a fun little activity with the grands! I’m going to give that a try with my littles next time they’re here.
Thank you, Krista! Your littles will love it, and you will too!

Thank you, Tammy!
Hi Janet, thanks for playing along with us at SUO Challenges! You’ve made a beautiful card with the colors and several circles for our challenge 🙂 With the polka dot background, I think you win for the most circles on a single card. Hope to see you in our gallery again soon!
Thank you, Christy!
