Hi There!
My name is Janet Bright and I am a long-time hoarder of pretty paper.
There, I said it.
I Began Young
Yes, my love-affair with pretty paper began in my preschool years. You see, my grandparents lived in another state, and they were very faithful in writing letters to my siblings and I as we grew up. I looked forward to their letters and very enthusiastically replied. From my earliest memory, pretty stationary was at the top of every wish list I ever penned. And, like most little girls, I liked shopping – clothes were nice, but please, oh please, oh please, could we go to the stationary store? My parents frequently obliged and I’d spend as long as I could just looking at all the pretty paper, trying to decide which one I wanted to spend my long-saved allowance on.
It Just Got Worse
As I aged into adulthood, strangely enough, that paper obsession never waned. I was introduced to Stampin’ Up! products about 35 years ago and rubber stamps became my associated passion. My craft room overfloweth… I’m pretty sure my kids were the only ones in kindergarten who identified colors by Stampin’ Up! names. It wasn’t just “green”… it was “Glorious Green”; or “Yoyo Yellow”; or “Rose Red” – you get the picture. Thankfully, my kids all grew up just fine despite my paper, ink and rubber stamp addiction and they are now all productive and contributing members of society. My grandkids may have gotten some of my genes, however, as a couple of them in particular look forward to coming over to Grammy’s house to stamp and ooh and ahh over my paper stash!!
The Inevitable
As you may understand by now, it was only natural then, that a few years ago I signed up to be a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator. At the time, I was still working full-time and have only just recently lessened my schedule and made the decision to pursue Stampin’ Up! as more than a “hobby”. This website is a long-time dream of mine and I am very excited to share projects and Stampin’ Up’s fantastic products with any and all who will take the time to listen. Feel free to browse around, try out some of my projects, leave me comments or ask questions, and visit my online store if you see something you “just have to have”! I can assure you, I will reply to any and all questions to the best of my ability.
Just The Facts
I’ve lived my entire life in rural Oregon and am blissfully married to my husband, Dean. Between us, we have five grown kids and seven grandkids. We own a ranch complete with cattle, horses, and our little dog, Maddie. Life on Bright Acres is nothing short of paradise!
